Visions and Values
‘Growing minds ... unlocking potential’
Our vision is to equip our children with the attitudes, values, knowledge and skills to become active global citizens, by creating purposeful and memorable learning experiences that nurture individuality, spark curiosity and empower our pupils to unlock their potential, find their voice and be the best they can be.
We live this vision through our values and through our ‘10 Big Ideas’
At Witham Oaks Academy, it is driven by our desire to offer memorable learning experiences stepped in real-life contexts that excite, promote and sustain our children’s interests to foster their natural curiosity. This real world context approach to learning means pupils are provided with experiences not just lessons. They see that there is relevance and context to their learning.
Through the 'Big Ideas' of our curriculum, children will acquire interconnected knowledge and skills that are relevant and appropriate, linking with real world experiences and creating an enjoyment of learning, an appetite to know more and an inherent capacity to learn for a successful and fulfilling life.
We value the partnership that exists between our parents, children and staff and strongly believe that by working together we ensure the children at our school experience the best possible start in life.
Core Values
We also place great emphasis on our CHAMPIONS Core Values which support our children to be:
